The Role
About the Facility We're recruiting on behalf of a private addiction detox and residential treatment facility in the North Atlanta area. This is a licensed, medically supervised program looking to add an RN to their nursing team. The Role This is hands-on, high-impact nursing. You'll be working directly with patients going through detox and residential treatment, monitoring them closely, managing symptoms, and being the calm, steady presence that makes a scary process feel safer. What You'll Do Provide direct nursing care to patients in detox and residential treatment Monitor patients closely through withdrawal, tracking vitals and symptoms Administer medications and manage symptoms per established protocols Coordinate with physicians and behavioral health staff on patient care Document thoroughly and accurately in the EMR Support patients emotionally through one of the toughest stretches of their lives What You Bring Active, unencumbered RN license in Georgia (required) 1+ years of substance use, detox, or behavioral health experience preferred Comfort working 12-hour shifts A steady hand and a calm presence under pressure Strong documentation and communication skills Compensation & Benefits 401(k) Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Dental insurance Paid holidays
Responsibilities
- Monitor vital signs and withdrawal symptoms using CIWA-Ar and COWS protocols
- Administer medications per physician orders
- Educate patients and families on the detox process
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary treatment team
- Maintain accurate nursing documentation in EMR
Requirements
- Active RN license in Georgia (compact license accepted)
- Minimum 1 year experience in detox, medical-surgical, or ER setting
- BLS/CPR certified
- Experience with CIWA-Ar protocols preferred
Schedule
Three 12-hour shifts per week; days and nights available
